Dawson Primary is a state multi-cultural contributing school catering for students from Year 1-6. It is located with entrances from both Dawson Road and Haumia Way in Flatbush, Manukau, Auckland, New Zealand.
We do not have an enrolment scheme in place although we mainly take students from within our immediate area.
If you wish to enrol your child at Dawson Primary the office is open from 8.30 a.m - 2.45 p.m each day. There are several forms to be filled out and you will need either a birth certificate or passport at the time of enrolment.

Term 1 – Wednesday 3rd February - Friday 16th April
Term 2 – Monday 3rd May - Friday 9th July
Term 3 - Monday 26th July - Friday 1st October
Term 4 – Monday 18th October - Tuesday 14th December

8/10 - We are officially back at level 1
School is open for all students. We are still taking increased health and safety measures.
The gates at school will continue to be closed during the day to stop people wandering through the grounds or visiting classes. The gates are opened in the morning for school drop off from 8.30 - 9am. The Principal and AP's are on gate duty and you are welcome to come and talk to them. Please note if your child is late you will need to call the school office on 274390 to have someone meet you at the gate. The gates are open at 2.40 in the afternoon for child pick up and if you would like to see your child’s teacher. Rooms 1-7 will be escorted to the appropriate gates from 2.40 each day for pick up and the others will follow at the 2.45 bell.
Sanitiser is provided in classrooms for children and staff.
Health and Safety guidelines on coughing into your elbow, washing and drying hands and not touching your face are reinforced at school.

Visitors on Site
Any adult coming on to the school property can scan the QR code or sign the register at the office. The QR code is on our school gates and in our office window.
Sickness & Absences
If your child is away or sick please let the school office know on 274 5390 or firstname.lastname@example.org
If your child is sick they need to stay home. If they are sick for several days they will need a doctors certificate. If you have any concerns please contact Healthline (0800 611 116) or visit one of the drop in Covid testing stations.
