Dawson Primary is a state multi-cultural contributing school catering for students from Year 1-6. It is located with entrances from both Dawson Road and Haumia Way in Flatbush, Manukau, Auckland, New Zealand.
We do not have an enrolment scheme in place although we mainly take students from within our immediate area.
If you wish to enrol your child at Dawson Primary the office is open from 8.30 a.m - 2.45 p.m each day. There are several forms to be filled out and you will need either a birth certificate or passport at the time of enrolment.
2020 Term dates:
Term 1 – Tuesday 28th January - Thursday 9th April
Term 2 – Wednesday 15th April - Friday 3rd July (changed due to covid 19 isolation)
Term 3 - Monday 20th July - Friday 25th September
Term 4 – Monday 12th October - Wednesday 9th December

31/8 - We are at alert level 2 / 2.5
School is now open for all students under Level 2 /2.5. The Ministry of Education has an expectation that all children will return to school.
The gate opens at 8.30. Parents we ask you to drop off your children and do not come into the grounds unless it is absolutely necessary. You will not be able to visit the classes and will need to sign in at the office
The gates will be open at 2.30 in the afternoon and the junior children will finish at 2.35 followed by the others at 2.45.
Children do not need to wear a mask but if it is something that you want then they can.
All children will wash or sanitise their hands every time they enter or leave a room. Children are asked to cough or sneeze into their elbow.
Visitors on Site
Any adult coming on to the school property must scan the QR code or sign the register at the office. The QR code is on our school gates and in our office window.
Sickness & Absences
If your child is away or sick please let the school office know on 274 5390 or firstname.lastname@example.org
If your child is sick they need to stay home. If they are sick for several days they will need a doctors certificate. If you have any concerns please contact Healthline (0800 611 116) or visit one of the drop in Covid testing stations.
